Saints In Scouting Vision Conference

Friday, April 2, 2027. Salt Lake City area.

We’ll have more details to share in the coming months. But we wanted you to know now – because this particular date in this particular city at this particular moment in history deserves a place on your calendar as soon as possible.

Here’s why the timing matters.

General Conference weekend.

April 2nd falls on the Friday before the 197th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For Latter-day Saint Scouters, there is no better weekend to gather. We’ll be surrounded by people who share our faith, in a city energized by prophetic counsel and spiritual renewal as we talk about what Scouting and the gospel of Jesus Christ are building together.

The Salt Lake Temple Celebration.

The theme “Rejoice in Christ” has been announced for the Salt Lake Temple Celebration, which runs April 5 through October 1, 2027 – the first time in more than a century that the general public will be able to step inside the historic temple. Our Vision Conference on April 2nd places us in Salt Lake City at the very opening of that once-in-a-generation event.

Think about what that means.

The Salt Lake Temple’s first public open house in 134 years begins three days after our conference ends. That’s not a coincidence. That’s a reason to come.

What the Vision Conference is.

Like past Saints In Scouting Vision Conferences, this gathering will give you the opportunity to:

– Connect in person with other Latter-day Saint Scouters who are still showing up – who chose to stay in Scouting because they believe in what it builds in young people and what it reflects of the gospel.

– Learn practical ways to strengthen your unit, support your youth, and lead with greater vision and purpose in the coming year.

– See the connection between the Scout Oath and Law and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
